Akshay Kumar donates 1.08 crore to the families of 12 slain CRPF Jawans
When it comes to our jawans, a number of people say lots of things but there are only some who actually do something. And, one such inspiration is none other than Akshay Kumar, who has always been known to support the Indian Army in the most generous manner possible.
Recently, the “Jolly LLB 2” star had proposed the idea of developing a website or a mobile app, which would allow people to directly contribute and donate money in the bank accounts of the martyr’s family.
Now, Khilali Kumar has donated Rs 1.08 crore to the families of twelve slain jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Belonging to the 219 battalion, these brave jawans were killed in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district after a group of the Naxals’ armed militia ambushed a road opening party (ROP) in the area’s Bheji village on Saturday.
Central Reserve Police Force on Thursday took to Twitter to thank Akshay for his contribution.
“Akshay Kumar actor a true Patriot stnds with bereaved families of 12 #ShaheedsOfSukma & donates 09 Lac each. CRPF salutes noble gesture,” CRPF tweeted.
According to a source, Akki has been in regular touch with IPS officer Amit Lodha, DIG of Jaisalmer sector north.
Akshay enquired about this encounter and requested Lodha to share all pertinent details of the slain jawans’ kin.
Soon after going through the details, Akshay called DIG Lodha and expressed his desire to donate money to each to families of the martyred jawans.
A grand salute to you Akshay Kumar for this noble gesture!
On a related note, Akki will be seen next in will also be seen in “PadMan”, “Toilet: EK Prem Katha” “2.0” and “Mogul”
